Wanderlust – Feb 2-5

Kawhia Kai Festival – Feb 4
Experience the flavours of New Zealand, with the iconic Kawhia Kai Festival bringing together Kiwi performers, artist and musicians. Listed in The Lonely Planet Travel Guide as a “must see” event and one of the top ten Maori experiences for visitors to New Zealand. (Kawhia)

Ladies Day 2017, Te Rapa Racecourse – Feb 11
Gather up your frocks and fascinators, friends and family; Ladies Day 2017 is one of Hamilton’s most glamorous events. Featuring three group races as well as live entertainment and pop up stalls.

Blackcaps v South Africa (cricket) – Feb 19
Grab your friends and family and head along to experience sporting excellence and the stadium summer buzz. Add in crazy costumes, team rivalry and some serious competition, and you have the excitement that is International Cricket. (Seddon Park, Hamilton)

Hamilton Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids Tryathlon – Feb 19
This annual event is the perfect introduction to the sport of triathlon.
Catering for 7-13-year-olds, it is held at the University of Waikato sports fields. Every child, no matter their ability, is considered a champion and encouraged by Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon Ambassadors and receives a medallion for completion.

Hamilton Garden Arts Festival – Feb 17-26
The ultimate summer  must-do; Hamilton’s open-air summer festival for the city, the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival combines a plethora of visual arts, music, comedy, film, theatre, literature and dance, offering something for all ages and tastes. The festival is the perfect way to prolong the summer holiday spirit and enjoy entertainment, art and culture in a fantastic outdoor environment. Taranaki Yoga Hike – Feb 25
Take a moment to dedicate to your wellness and enjoy a two day hike around Mount Taranaki, finishing with a gentle yoga practise and guided meditation. The advanced yoga hike adventure is designed to test your limits and empower the body and mind.

Mansfield Garden Party – Feb 26
Think Great Gatsby; pack a picnic, chairs, a gazebo, dress 1920s, or pop on a straw boater or some long beads. With live entertainment, a vintage car display, swing dancing on the lawn, a pamper parlour and much more. Plus prizes for best dressed children, adults, groups and Katherine Mansfield look-alike.
